Write a composition in about ' The Person I Like Most '.

"  THE PERSON I LIKE MOST " or,
" BANGABANDHU SHEIKH MUJIBUR RAHMAN "

Bangabandhu Sheik Mujibur Rahman, the best chief of the Bangalees, is the dad of the Bengalee country. He struggled throughout his life to establish the basic rights of the Bangalees. His great political leadership gave rise to the birth of Bangladesh as an independent country. He united the whole nation against the oppression of the then autocratic Pakistani rulers ancl finally liberated the country through a nine-nonth sanguinary war. He was born on March 17, 1920 at Tungipara in the district of Gopalganj. He came of a middle class family. He was the first son and third child of his parents. After matriculation from Gopalganj Missionary School in 1941, he studied at Islamia College in Kolkata of West Bengal and graduated from there  in 1946. He then took admission at Dhaka University in 1948. His political career started in his student life being inspired by Hossain Shaheed Suhrawardi. He had to suffer imprisonment throughout almost his whole life. The political life of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was full of events. He was an uncompromising leader. The Pakistani rulers put him behind the bars several times as he raised voice against them for their   oppression on the Bangalees. He became the Joint Secretary of Awami Muslim League when it was founded in 1949 and then elected the General Secretary in 1953. He was elected a member of the Provincial Legislative Assembly from the Jukta Front in 1954 and became a Minister. On october 27, 1958 when Field Martial Ayub Khan took over power and declared Martial Law, Sheikh Mujib Launched movement to free the people from the military rule of Ayub Khan. In 1966 he became the President of the Awami League. In the same year he declared his historic six-point. Being scared of his popularity, the Pakistani government filed a case against Sheikh Mujib over Agartala conspiracy and sent him to jail. But the case was withdrawn in the face of mass uprising in 1969. Ayub Khan then handed over power to another Pakistani general Yahea Khan. After one year the general election of the National Assembly was held. The Awami League, under the leadership of Sheikh Mujib got the absolute majority in the Parliament. Despite obtaining the absolute majority, the Pakistani government refused to hand over power to the Awami League. Against the backdrop of this situation, Sheikh Mujib then at his historic 7 March speech at Ramna Race Course Maidan ( now Suhrawardi Uddyan ) declared -

" Abarer Sangram Amader Muktir Sangram "
" Abarer Sangram Amader Sadhinatar Sangram "

The barbarous Pakistani army arrested Sheikh Mujib on the fateful night of 25th March and started mass killing. Sheikh Mujib was taken to West Pakistani and kept in a congested prison cell there. The valiant sons of the country took arms and began to fight against the Pakistani army. The war spread allover the country. After a nine month bloody war, Bangladesh became an independent country by achieving victory on December 16, 1971. Sheikh Mujib returned to the country on January 10, 1972. He was given a rousing reception by millions of people on return to his new independent country. The tragic assassination of Sheikh Mujib on August 15, 1975 along with most of his family members plunged the entire nation into gloom. His death was the greatest blow to peace and democracy and development of Bangladesh. The nation will ever remain grateful to the great leader for his contribution for liberating the country from the clutches of Pakistan.
