A day labourer is he who has no land of his own and earns his livelihood by working hard. He may fill in as a sweeper, a smithy, an artisan, a craftsman, a goldsmith, a rancher and an earth digger. A day-labourer is very poor. He has no fixed income. Most of the day labourers work in the land of rich people. A day labourer works from morning till evening and gets his wages. He gets wages if he can work. During stormy days he finds no work and he needs to starve alongside his family. He can hardly buy clothes or fancy things. In our country the life of a day-labourer is full of uncertainly and tension. He does not know whether he will get employment all the time. Though he works hard, he lives from hand to mouth. He lives in a hut and lives a sub human life. If he becomes sick, he along with his family starves. In the event that he meets with a mishap, he bites the dust without treatment. Thus a day-labourer in our country leads a miserable life.
