As knowledge is compared to power so a library may be compared to a power house. It helps us to satisfy the unquenchable thirst for knowledge inherent in human nature. In a library books on different subjects are arranged in a systematic way. A school library is a part and parcel of any school. Our school library is situated in the main building of the school. It consists of two big rooms. We sit in the middle of the library where chairs around large tables are properly arranged. Books are displayed on the book shelves. The library plays a very important role in our academic life. About 6000 books in our school library. It has a vast collection of books. There are text books on our academic subjects which we borrow and use at home. There are also a lot of reference books. With the helps of reference books we make our own notes to carry good marks in the examination. Besides, there are fiction, non-fiction, poetry and drama books also. Only student can use our school library. They can borrow two books at a time for a walk. Students are given a 'library-card' which they may use to borrow books form the school library. If any one wants to keep a book for more than one week he or she needs to get the book re-issued. There is an administrator who issues books as per the interest of the understudies. Our school library is well decorated and equipped with modern facilities. The school library remains open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on every working day. Our school library helps us attaining knowledge and gives us a scope for recreation. We feel very proud of our school library.
