Introduction : The name of our nation is Bangladesh. She became independent in 1971 through a sanguinary liberation war. Thousands of people laid down their lives for the cause of our independence. With her green fields, trees and plants, it is one of the most beautiful countries of the world.
Location and her area : Bangladesh is situated in south-east Asia. She borders on India and Myanmar in the east, on India in the north and west and to the south lies the Bay of Bengal. Dhaka is our capital city. The total land area of the country including rivers is 1,47,570 square kilometers.
Capital : Dhaka is the capital of our country. The state language of the country is Bangla. English is also taught here in schools and colleges as a second language. There are also a number of tribal dialects.
Population : Bangladesh is land of over population. More than 13 crore people live here. Most of them are Muslims. The others are Hindus, Buddhists and Christians. Individuals of all networks live here with harmony and friendship.
Dress : The national dress for men is pajama and punjabi and for women, sari. But the educated people wear trousers shirts and young women salwar and kameez. Most people were lungi and shirt.
Occupation : Bangladesh is mainly an agricultural country. Most of the people are farmers. Farming is their main occupation. Some are administration holders, specialists, specialists, engineers, anglers, weavers, woodworkers and so forth. Other are day workers.
Rivers : Bangladesh is land of rivers. The Padma, the Meghna and the Jamuna are the enormous streams of the nation.
Crops and Fruits : The land of Bangladesh is very fertile. Different sorts of yields and natural products are become here. Rice is our staple nourishment and jute and tea are our principle money crops. Mangoes, jack-fruits, pine-apples, papaws coconuts, oranges, palms, guavas, bananas, lichi, water-melons, are very delicious and nutritious fruits of Bangladesh.

Natural beauties : Bangladesh is a place where there is characteristic magnificence. There are many places with charming natural beauty. The sundarban, Rangamati and the tea gardens of Sylhet are very beautiful places. The Cox's Bazar ocean sea shore is the longest ocean sea shore on the planet. The beach with its green background looks very attractive.
Historical places and tourists spots : The chief historical places here are Paharpur, Mahasthangar, Mainamoti, Sonargaon, Bagerhat etc. They are also attractive tourists spots. The other tourist spots are Cox's Bazar, the Sundarbans, Rangamati, Kuakata, etc.
Conclusion : Bangladesh os the blessed child of nature. It is enriched with lots of natural resources. I am really proud of living in such a beautiful country.
