Deforestation means chopping down trees carelessly and pulverizing the woods. Deforestation is occurring in numerous pieces of the world including our nation. There are many causes of deforestation. Man's unwise act is the main cause of it. Most people of the villages are not aware of the importance of trees. They are chopping down trees indiscriminately for household purposes. They also use fire wood as fuel for their daily cooking . Population growth is another cause of it. Population of the country is increasing alarmingly. So, people are destroying forests to make houses. The construction of roads is also responsible for deforestation. Every year new roads are being constructed in the country particularly in the hilly areas. So, forests are being cut down for this purpose. Deforestation has a negative effect on human being, fauna, nature and climate. Forests and trees are significant components of our condition. Trees help to cause rain. Deforestation may turn a region into a desert. On the off chance that there are no trees left in the forests, the climate will be extraordinary one. There will be less rainfall. This will cause great harm to our cultivation. The temperature of the world is increasing because of deforestation. Deforestation also causes extinction of the wild animals. Deforestation increases global warming and it raises sea-level. Accordingly, some low-lying nations of the world will be overwhelmed and go submerged. It is high time we stopped deforestation. Deforestation can be prevented by raising public awareness. The coastal belts of the country must be brought under massive tree plantation program . We must plant two trees before cutting one. Tree plantation program must be turned into a social movement. Our forests must be preserved at any cost.
