The great Muslim saint Khan Jahan Ali founded this city and mosque in the 15th century. Though the mosque is called Shat Gambuj mosque, it has actually 77 domes. There are two tanks in Bagerhat. There are several crocodiles in a tank. We spent two hours visiting this historical place. The mosque was beautifully decorated with terracotta flowers and foliage. We were greatly delighted to see the architectural design of the mosque. It is one of the best vacation spots in Bangladesh. It is now a World Heritage Sight. We gathered much experience after visiting the place. We got an away from of the Shat Gambuj Mosque.
