Write a composition in about ' Jamuna Bridge '.

                                        " JAMUNA BRIDGE "

Bangladesh is a land of rivers. The Jamuna is one of them. It interrupted our communication system. So it was a dream to the people of Bangladesh that a bridge should be constructed over the river. At last, the dream has come true and a bridge over the river has been built up. The river Jamuna separates the northern region from the capital and other districts of the country. Farmers of the northern districts could not market their products in time. It also hampered the industrialization of that region. Because, industrialization needs a better communication system. So it was a crying need to construct a bridge over the mighty Jamuna. The question was first came into consideration in 1947. After liberation in 1986, H.M. Ershad laid down the foundation stone of the Jamuna Bridge. In 1994, Begum Khaleda Zia again laid down the foundation stone. Her government also assured the fund and started the construction work. Then Sheikh Hasina connected 'Railway' and 'Gas Transmission' line to the bridge. The Jamuna bridge is named 'Bangabandhu Bridge' after the founder of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On 23 June, 1998 the then Prime: Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the opening ceremony of the bridge. 696 million US dollar spent for the construction of the bridge, The World Bank, ADB, Japan Government and Bangladesh Government jointly funded the amount of cost. The extension is 4.8 km long and 18.5 m wide. The number of span is 49. There are four lanes including one breakdown lane. The Bangabandhu bridge opened a new era of development. As the gas line is included with the bridge, the northern region will develop rapidly. New industries will be set up in this region, and it will up to improve the socio-economic condition of the country. The Jamuna Multi-Purpose Bridge is a: wonder of the modern technology. It is a great success in the communication system of Bangladesh.
